Postpartum Cleaning Services & Support – Scope of Work Purpose To provide safe, hygienic, and supportive cleaning services for postpartum mothers and newborns, ensuring a clean, calm, and healthy home environment during recovery. Service Overview Our postpartum cleaning services are designed to reduce stress, support recovery, and maintain a sanitized living space for both mother and baby. Services are delivered with care, discretion, and attention to health-sensitive conditions. Postpartum-Specific Care Use of non-toxic, baby-safe cleaning products Extra attention to high-touch surfaces (doorknobs, light switches) Gentle, quiet cleaning approach to avoid disturbing mother and baby Flexibility around feeding and sleeping schedules 1. General Cleaning Dusting all surfaces (furniture, shelves, baseboards) Vacuuming carpets and rugs Sweeping and mopping hard floors Emptying garbage and recycling Light tidying and organization 2. Kitchen Cleaning Cleaning and sanitizing countertops and backsplashes Wiping exterior of appliances (fridge, stove, microwave, dishwasher) Cleaning sinks and faucets Loading/unloading dishwasher (if applicable) Taking out garbage and compost 3. Bathroom Sanitization Disinfecting toilets, sinks, bathtubs, and showers Cleaning mirrors and fixtures Replacing towels (if requested) Restocking toiletries (client-provided) Laundry Support Washing, drying, and folding laundry Handling baby clothes separately (if requested) Changing linens Exclusions Deep cleaning requiring heavy scrubbing or hazardous materials Biohazard or medical waste disposal Heavy lifting or moving large furniture Childcare or medical assistance Health & Safety Protocols Cleaners will follow strict hygiene practices (handwashing, PPE if requested) Use of eco-friendly, fragrance-free products where possible Staff will not attend if experiencing illness symptoms Respect for client privacy and recovery needs Client Responsibilities Provide access to the home at scheduled times Inform of any sensitivities (allergies, newborn health concerns) Secure pets if necessary
